Two people are facing charges in a series of vandalism on Colorado Springs' west side, as well as an attempted abduction.

Police were called Monday morning after one in the morning from a neighbor on Monument Street saying someone had opened their garage. Other neighbors called saying they saw people breaking into cars. One homeowner saw a silver PT Cruiser take off.

Just a little bit later police responded to a disturbance call at the 7-11 store at the corner of 15th Street and West Colorado Avenue. It was the same PT Cruiser and police say two men were trying to force a woman into their car.

Police say inside the car they saw box cutters, a grill lighter, and various electronics including iPods and GPS devices.

One of the neighbors who saw the suspects near the vandalisms identified the two individuals from the 7-11 incident.

When police went back to investigate near where the vandalism took place they discovered three cars where small fires had been set inside; the damage was minor. Dozens of cars had their tires slashed.

Candice Ramos and Randy Winter were taken into custody. Police say the investigation is ongoing. If you were a victim, or have any information police could use, please call them at 444-7000.
