ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Wes Welker says there are no hard feelings toward the Patriots and he's happy to be in Denver.

The Broncos introduced the former New England receiver Thursday, the day after he signed a two-year, $12 million deal to catch passes from Peyton Manning.

The Patriots offered Welker $10 million over two years and the 31-year-old receiver quickly realized his future might lie elsewhere.

He said he made more of a pitch to Broncos front office chief John Elway than Elway made to him.

Welker's signing was the highlight of a busy week during which Elway spent nearly $56 million signing free agents.

Denver's other contracts went to defensive linemen Kevin Vickerson and Terrance Knighton, linebacker Stewart Bradley, offensive lineman Louis Vasquez and defensive backs David Bruton and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
