Family and friends welcomed home about 40 soldiers back from almost one year in Afghanistan.
The 764th Exposive Ordnance Disposal Company, 242 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Battalion, 71st Ordnance Group at Fort Carson arrived home Saturday afternoon.
The 764th defused over 600 IED's while in Afghanistan. They cleared about 30,000 miles of roads and destroyed nearly 100,000 pounds of explosives.
