Olympic Downtown Celebration

Downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs, CO
Price: Free admission
The free event will coincide with NBC's broadcast of the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in London, which will be shown on a 15- by 27-feet high-definition video screen at the intersection of Colorado and Tejon, right in front of the U.S. Olympic Committee headquarters building. The party will kick off with a variety of family-friendly entertainment that will continue throughout the night. All events are free, and will include:
• Two entertainment stages, featuring music, performances and interviews with local celebrities, including Olympians and Paralympians from past Games
• Autograph sessions with Olympians and Paralympians
The festivities will close with a breathtaking fireworks display off a downtown rooftop.

CASA Bike for Hope 2012

Price: $65 through July 1, $75 after July 1
If doing the full 43.7 mile ride, please plan to start between 6:00 am and 7:00 am. We encourage riders to start early to avoid the traditional afternoon heat and mountain thunderstorms. Anyone starting after 7:30 am may not be fully supported along the route.
This is a fund-raising ride and there will be prizes for top fund-raisers!

You're invited to SKSF's Family Fun Day! Enjoy indoor & outdoor music, bake sale, concessions, outdoor Yard Sale, 25 indoor vendors, raffle & vendor drawings PLUS a Kids Zone (sponsored by Peoples National Bank) with face painting, balloon artist, puppet show, safety awareness emergency vehicle displays, & games (Kids Zone admission $2.50 - bring a bag of used aluminum cans for recycling & receive $1 off). Proceeds support Special Kids Special Families programs for individuals with disabilities.


Comunity Appreciation BBQ

On Friday July 27th from 4-7pm Hy Cross Lutheran Church is hosting a community Appreciation BBQ for all of the first responders and their families. This will be a free event for everyone but we will be taking free will donations for the Fallen Firefighters Fund and the CSPD Officer Down Program. There will be a live music performance by Vehicle as well as some other activities for younger children.


Tween Night

at Downtown Family Center YMCA, Colorado Springs, CO
Price: $11 for nonmembers
For ages 8-12. The YMCA offers tweens the opportunity to get to know other tweens in their community, by engaging in new friendships in a safe and fun environment. Join us and experience a fun Saturday night made just for you. Activities include swimming, inflatables, a live DJ, volleyball, basketball, Nerf wars and a Lego room. $11 for nonmembers. Registration required.
