Calmer-than-expected weather has allowed crews to contain about 65 percent of a northern Colorado wildfire. Fire managers say high winds predicted Wednesday didn't materialize, allowing crews to nearly double the containment line.

The blaze blackened 740 acres and destroyed two homes. About 100 people who were evacuated from the area west of Loveland have been allowed to go home.

Crews shifted equipment and personnel to the fire from another blaze which destroyed at least 166 homes near Boulder.
