Weather for your Wednesday....warm and wonderful!

TODAY: More than just a little warm for your Wednesday. Temps this afternoon in Colorado Springs will reach 73...the average high is only 55. Pueblo today warms all the way to 77 degrees/average high is only 61! Thanks to high pressure we'll see sunshine all day with fairly light breezes.

THURSDAY: Sunny warm weather sticks around tomorrow with high temps back up around 70 in Colorado Springs and 76 in Pueblo. You might notice a couple of high clouds drifting across Colorado during the afternoon ahead of a Pacific storm system head for the state.

FRIDAY: Last day of the work week with be another warm afternoon...but it will also be windy at times thanks to the approaching storm system. Gusts in eastern Colorado could exceed 30-35 mph at times. The wind and warm weather means that we'll have to keep an eye on the fire danger becoming high to extreme! During the afternoon we'll start to see some rain and snow showers to fall across the western half of Colorado. Keep an eye on the road reports before traveling across any mountain passes or to the higher elevations.

SATURDAY: Much colder air streams into town in the morning with some gusty winds. Temps will only make it to about 50 in the Springs and 55 in Pueblo. Temps will fall during the afternoon thanks to the cold air arriving behind that front, while at the same time we'll start to see a slight chance of light rain or snow showers. Best bet for measurable rain and snow still expected during the day in western Colorado and close to home over the Wet & Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Showers will also become more likely for the Rampart Range and Monument Hill. Chance for precip at the lower elevations will be best by very late afternoon and Saturday night for Colorado Springs and El Paso County. As of right now chances of rain/snow will be about 20% in the Springs...only about 10% in Pueblo...and about 20-30% across Teller County and the mountains west of I-25.

SUNDAY: We'll start the day with the chance of a few lingering light snow showers...especially close to the mountains and higher elevations. To start the day will also be very cold with morning lows in the lower 20's at the lower elevations. Skies will be mostly sunny but temps only reach 33 in the Springs and 37 in Pueblo making it the coldest afternoon of the fall season so far!

VETERAN"S DAY: A VERY cold start to the day with temps in the middle teens for the Springs and Pueblo and about 10 degrees in Teller County! The good news is that temps should warm at least 12-15 degrees compared to Sunday with mostly sunny skies. High Monday of 45 in the Springs and 49 in Pueblo.

TUESDAY: More sunshine and warmer temps on-tap. Highs by afternoon at will warm to 53 degrees in Colorado Springs and 57 in Pueblo.
