WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 AM MST SUNDAY FOR THE SAWATCH AND MOSQUITO RANGES ABOVE 11000 FEET, THE LA GARITA MOUNTAINS ABOVE 10000 FEET, AND THE EASTERN SAN JUANS BELOW 10000 FEET.
EXPECT 5 TO 7 INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION BY SUNDAY MORNING.
TODAY: Partly sunny with highs in the mid 50s to low 60s in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Canon City...upper 40s in Teller County. Precipitation possible in Teller County with a few spillover rain showers in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
TONIGHT: A 20% chance of showers in the Springs and Pueblo before 11pm...a 40% chance in Teller County. The rain/snow showers should end over the eastern mountains and plains by midnight. Overnight, snow will most likely continue over the higher peaks of the Sawatch from Monarch Pass and northward. Heavy snow will fall over the San Juans. Mostly cloudy with lows in the mid 20s.
SUNDAY: More sunshine and a little warmer than today with highs in the upper 50s in Colorado Springs and Canon City, low to mid 60s in Pueblo, and mid 40s in Teller County.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies will keep the overnight lows on the mild side again in the 20s. The Eastern San Juan Mountains have a good chance for another round of snowfall.
Snow chances will increase through Tuesday especially for the San Juans, the Continental Divide and the Sangre de Cristos.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy and slightly cooler with highs in the 50s for Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Canon City...near 40 in Teller County.
MONDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain/snow and overnight lows near 20 degrees.
TUESDAY: A cold front will move over us on Tuesday with a slight chance for snow in the morning, then rain. Mostly cloudy and MUCH COLDER with highs only in the 30s.
WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY: Partly sunny and gradually warming up.
