...Snow this morning and back in the 60°s this weekend...
A wave of energy passed through southern Colorado Friday morning dropping the season's first snow for some locations. Snow reports indicate 0.5" to 2" of snow fell on the north side of Colorado Springs and Monument. Officially the Colorado Springs airport reported just a trace of snow.
Pueblo had its first measurable snow, 0.1", in 170 days. The last time there was measurable snow was May 1.
There were also reports of over 1" of snow near Sheridan Lake in Kiowa County, Colorado.
Weekend Warms Up
After Friday's high temperatures in the 40°s across southern Colorado we will see a nice warm up for the weekend. Skies will clear and allow for mostly sunny skies Saturday. Highs will be in the 60°s.
Clear skies will also allow for chilly temperatures tonight. Lows will get down to the 20°s and lower 30°s by Saturday morning.
The second half of the weekend looks mainly sunny and mild as well. Temperatures will climb back to the 60°s again.
A cold front will begin to move in to the area late Sunday night and Monday morning. Behind the front temperatures will drop, but only 5° to 8° from Sunday. Highs will top out in the 50°s and 60°s.
