What a difference a day makes! Temperatures at the noon hour, already warmer than the past two day's highs. And we're going to climb back to more seasonal averages for today. That means highs will be in the mid 80s for Springs and low 90s for Pueblo. With the warm up also comes a lot more sunshine, with just a slight chance of a spotty shower.
4th of July through the weekend looks very festive! Temperatures will continue to go up for the weekend as the sunshine will be out in full force. Highs for your Friday will be near 90 for Springs and approaching 100 for Pueblo. These temps will even go up a few more degrees Saturday and Sunday so it'll definitely be hot! A good time to get out the ice cream and popsicles!
Now there will be a SLIGHT chance of a stray shower from the 4th through Monday, but most areas will stay dry. These showers will be very isolated. However, if you do get one that develops over you, you could be dealing with lots of lightning and heavy rain. But I wouldn't put any outdoor plans on hold because of this. Right now the odds are in your favor.
Next week there's a slightly better chance of seeing more rain. That will come Wednesday afternoon with a front. As we approach this, temperatures will slowly back off for the start of the week.
Hope you enjoy your Holiday weekend... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
