After a much cooler day Tuesday, temperatures are climbing right back up to typical summer-time highs for this afternoon. That means we're in the high 80s for Springs and mid 90s for Pueblo. With the warm up comes more sunshine, but also the continued chance for showers. Should any storms develop, flooding rain will be possible as there are no strong winds in the upper atmosphere to move the storms through.
Thursday and Friday will be fairly similar days as skies stay partly sunny each afternoon, and spotty showers will be possible. We're not expecting severe weather, but an isolated flooding or severe storm could be possible each day.
A front will move through the area late Friday/early Saturday. As this happens, the chances for showers/storms increases. So even though we have showers chances in the forecast from Thursday through Sunday, the best chance for widespread rain will come as the front moves through early Saturday.
Right now your weekend is looking the same too. Spotty showers each day, but no washouts. Otherwise temperatures are seasonable and skies stay partly sunny.
Hope you're ready for the warm up again... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
