TODAY: Lovely start to your Friday, but later today we'll see a few more storms. Chances staying higher today and all weekend over the mountains and higher elevations. 50% chance today over the Ramart Range/Teller County...40% over Monument Hill and the Wet & Sangre de Cristo Mountains. In Colorado Springs and Canon City the chances are a little lower at 30%. Trinidad/Walsenburg chances will be 20%. Pueblo needs moisture too, but will only have a chance at 10-20% and the chances are even lower for La Junta and Lamar.
TONIGHT: Skies clearing tonight with nice overnight low temps...Saturday should start with mostly sunny skies.
SATURDAY-SUNDAY: Hotter temps both days and slightly lower chances of storms. 40% chance over the mountains....20-30% chance in the Springs and only another 10 to maybe as much as a 20% chance in Pueblo. Temps in the Springs will be about 90 degrees...Pueblo will be near 100 and it will be above 100 in La Junta and Lamar! Good news is there a cool front that will come through Sunday night and help drop temps a bit.
MONDAY: Next weak starts with slightly milder temps and a slightly better chance of afternoon storms thanks to that cool front. High should drop back in to the upper 80's for the Springs and lower 90's in Pueblo. A few more storms are expected...but yet again most of the activity will be closer to the mountains and foothills.
TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY: Milder temps don't last long....with toastier highs again both days. Monsoon moisture will be limited so storms are very 'unllikely' at the lower elevations!
Have a great weekend and enjoy the Olympics here on News 5!
