In just one month Vancouver will welcome the world to the Winter Olympic games, but a warm weather front could dampen Olympic fever.

The weather in Vancouver has been unseasonably warm and wet--more like spring than winter--and it could pose a threat to several Olympic venues.

Cypress Mountain, the venue for freestyle skiing and snowboarding, was closed Monday when the temperature reached above 50 degrees. Workers have begun to stockpile snow at higher, colder elevations until snow making can resume.
