Temperatures will be much above normal through the first half of the weekend before a cold front passes late Saturday afternoon/evening. Before the front passes, temperatures will be 15° to 20° above normal. Under sunny skies, highs today will be in the 50°s and 60°s. (Colorado Springs: 59° | Pueblo: 65°)
Clouds will begin to stream in to the area early Saturday morning. Skies will turn partly to mostly cloudy during the day. Winds will also become brisk by afternoon. Before the cold front passes temperatures should be able to climb in to the 50°s and 60°s. Once the front passes, expect temperatures to drop 10° to 15° within an hour.
Sunday will be a return to winter as temperatures will struggle to get out of the 30°s. Computer models are also hinting at a chance for a few snow showers. Right now it doesn't look to be too big of a deal. If we can squeeze every bit of moisture out of the air we could see as much as an inch of snow in Colorado Springs. We'll continue to fine tune the forecast as we get closer to Sunday so be sure to check back for later forecast. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
