TODAY: Expect plenty of sun again today, a little bit of a breeze and warmer temps. Highs will reach 80 in the Springs and 87 in Pueblo. The breeze this afternoon from the north/northwest will be due to a week cool front headed through eastern Colorado. The front won't have much impact on today's forecast, but it will be a little bit of a cooler night tonight and temps tomorrow about 4-6 degrees cooler than today.
TONIGHT: Starry and cool. Winds will be light and low temps will be in the 40's for most all of us at the lower elevations.
THURSDAY: Continued picture perfect weather continues. Thanks to today's front it will be a few degrees cooler tomorrow...high of 76 in the Springs and 82 in Pueblo. Light winds and abundant sunshine on tap.
FRIDAY: There is another front on the way and it should arrive early to begin Friday forecast. That next front will bring us some gusty winds to start the day...but the winds will be much calmer with temps a degree or two cooler than Thursday. You could ask for a much nicer way to end the summer season!
SATURDAY-SUNDAY: We say hello to fall on a fantastic note! Sunny skies, light winds and dry skies all across the state. Temps will be in the lower 70's in the Springs and in some cases staying only in the 60's in parts of northern El Paso County. Temps in Pueblo in the upper 70's...ditto for La Junta and Lamar. Enjoy! Sunday will be about 5 degrees warmer, but still mostly sunny and lovely!
MONDAY-TUESDAY: Long term computer models are hinting at some increasing moisture over the mountains which means we might see a return of a few thundershowers over the higher elevations to start next week. Weather at the lower elevations will be dry and mild. Temps Monday will be close to the highs on Sunday, but another weak cool front moves through by evening and drops our temps back about 3-5 degrees for Tuesday.
