The quiet weather will continue overnight with clear skies, a light wind, and low in the 30s/40s. A ridge of high pressure will keep the sunny skies around through the middle of the week as temperatures warm to above average readings for the first few days of the workweek.
Our next storm system will swing through the state Thursday and Friday. The mountains will see the bulk of the precipitation with this system though a few isolated rain showers are possible for the eastern mountains and Front Range late Thursday and early Friday. The Eastern Plains are on target to see a few isolated storms Thursday afternoon. A little bit of snow is possible during the overnight hours over the higher elevations.
As of now, next weekend looks mostly sunny and cooler with more seasonal temperatures expected.
