RED FLAG WARNING FOR WEDNESDAY...
After a sunny, mild day in Colorado, we're in for even more warmth. A storm will move east over Colorado tonight through Wednesday. As this storm approaches, it won't bring us rain or snow, but it will bring wind and a nice warm up. Highs on Wednesday will climb into the 60s and possible 70s. But it's not all glitz and glory. The winds will pick up and gust to near 35 mph during the day. With the low humidity that's going to be in place, this means there's a fire threat.
A Red Flag Warning has been issued for much of the area. This takes effect from 11 AM to 8 PM Wednesday. The breezy conditions will help fuel any fire, so be extra vigilant of any fire or sparks.
Behind the storm, temperatures drop off slightly Thursday and Friday. Yet it'll still be mild and sunny, so not bad. The weekend gets even better with highs back in the 60s and 70s. So start making some plans to get outside this weekend.
Enjoy the warmth of Wednesday... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
