Firefighters are still trying to gain the upper hand on a wildfire burning near Boulder. But with dozens of homes destroyed, county officials are starting to make plans to help people who won't have homes to return to once the fire is out.
Authorities say a wildfire that has destroyed at least 136 homes. The county is asking evacuated residents to let them know if they will need long-term housing assistance.
Spokesman Dan Rowland said Wednesday that some homeowners have offered to take people into their own homes or let them use homes that are vacant.
