A preliminary tally of insurance claims from the Waldo Canyon Fire have topped $352.6 million from some 4,300 claims.
Carole Walker of the Rocky Mountain Inusrance Information Assocaition says they expect the fire cost to increase as more homeowners are able to submit claims for personal belongings.
Those claims tend to take longer to submit as they are more lengthy. Policy holders who have lost homes or suffered other damage to their property as a result of the fire have up to a year to submit claims.
