Wakeboarders return to Colorado Springs

The world's best wakeboarders are coming back to Colorado Springs this summer making the third stop of the 2011 MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour. The high-flying water sport competition will be held June 10 - 11 at Prospect Lake in Memorial Park.

Last summer, the wakeboarders made their first-ever appearance in the city as boarders Bob Soven and Daniel Powers took first place in the Pro Men's and Jr. Pro Men's divisions respectively. This year a Pro Women's division will be added to the competition.

The preliminary rounds will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10 and will be free and open to the public. Tickets will be required for the final rounds which start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 11.

Tickets cost $13 for adults, $5 for kids age 6-12, age 5 and under are free. Online adult tickets cost $7 and can be purchased at www.prowakeboardtour.com.
