Voter turnout tops 50 percent in Fremont County

Voter turnout in Fremont County is "huge" for an off-year election, according to the Fremont County Clerk and Recorder's Office.

Turnout had exceeded 50 percent prior to 5 p.m. Tuesday, with two hours remaining for ballot drop-offs. Staff in the Clerk and Recorder's office say they have never seen such high turnout in an off-year election.
