COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Congressman Doug Lamborn says the Veterans Affairs Department will start construction this year on a medical clinic in Colorado Springs.

Lamborn, a Colorado Republican, said Monday the site for the clinic could be announced this week. The Gazette of Colorado Springs reports the new clinic will consolidate two existing clinics and provide more space and more services than the old clinics combined. VA spokesman Jordan Schupbach says new clinic will allow the VA to add radiology, dental, optometry, audiology and laboratory departments. It will also have a pharmacy and a benefits information office.
