Very warm eastern Colorado, very cold western Colorado

Sunny skies and unusually warm temperatures across eastern Colorado today. This was the warmest day so far during the New Year. In Colorado Springs the high was 56 degrees, Canon City 60, Trinidad 61, La Junta 62, Pueblo 63, Lamar 63. Very cold air remains trapped in western Colorado, in Grand Junction today the high was only 20, Gunnison 18.
