Velez set to start as Interim Police Chief

On Wednesday former Colorado Springs Police Chief Luis Velez begins work as the Interim Chief of the Pueblo Police Department.
The City of Pueblo reports he's agreed to lead the department for the next six months. Velez will earn $9,886 a month and will be given a city vehicle for business and commuting.
Velez has been in law enforcement for more than three decades.
