VAIL, Colo. (AP) - A Vail-area resident faces a fine after the shooting of a bear earlier this week.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesman Mike Porras says 26-year-old Joseph Giegling was ticketed with the unlawful take of a black bear that was shot Monday night.
The Vail Daily reports (http://bit.ly/Qzoah4 ) the fine for the ticket is about $1,372, plus 15 points against hunting and fishing privileges. A person's hunting and fishing privileges are suspended at 20-plus points.
Giegling's phone number is unlisted, and he couldn't be reached for comment Thursday.
