The Maui Fire Department and the U.S. Coast Guard have called off the search for 54-year old Tina Fox, a Colorado Springs woman who was swept away while snorkeling with her husband off the coast of Maui's Black Rock Point. The report comes from KHNL TV in Honolulu. Rescuers searched for four days, covering 300 square miles of ocean.

Fox's daughter, Christie, who is back home in Colorado says she was in shock when her dad told her the news.

"He said he turned and waved at my mom, then turned around again and she was gone. We are in shock, it's extremely sudden. They were out there to have a good time they have snorkeled there before and there has never been any problem," Christie Fox, Tina's daughter, told KHNL.

Fox and her husband travel to Maui every year. Right now the family is devastated.
