COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Springs VA LLC has won a contract to build an expanded outpatient clinic for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Colorado Springs.

The cost of the contract was not released Tuesday, but The Gazette reports Congress has approved about $10 million for the project.

The Department of Veterans Affairs says the contract will create 235 construction jobs.

The VA will pay about $3 million in rent per year for the facility when it is complete. The clinic is scheduled to be complete in spring 2014.

The three-story building would include primary care, mental health and ancillary diagnostic services for more than 20,000 veterans annually.
