A U.S. Air Force major faces a court martial on allegations she kept a dose of a powerful narcotic
painkiller for herself and tried to cover it up.

Maj. Torre A. Donaldson, a nursing supervisor at the Air Force Academy's cadet clinic, faces court martial on June 1.

According to Air Force charging documents, investigators say Donaldson pocketed a 50-milligram vial of the painkiller commonly known as Demerol on Sept. 16 and convinced a colleague to falsely claim he personally saw her dispose of it.

Donaldson claims to have properly disposed of the drug in a waste receptacle.

A message left at a number listed for Donaldson was not immediately returned. It was unclear whether she has hired an attorney.
