As of Tuesday evening, no homes or businesses are in harms way. No evacuations have been ordered for Trinidad or surrounding communities. One air tanker has been making water drops on the fire.
Ground crews remain on scene overnight to monitor any new developments. Because of the steep terrain, firefighters are unable to make their way up the mountain.
As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, the fire has died down because of calm winds and cooler temperatures. Fire crews are still considered about the blaze growing tomorrow should winds pick up in the afternoon. Stay with News 5 and koaa.com for any new developments on this fire.
