UPDATE: Men identified in Springs police chase

Police have identified the three men arrested in this morning's shoot-out and high-speed chase as Travis Broadway, 21, Michael Peyton, 20, and Parice Daily, 23. All three face charges of attempted murder of a police officr, attempted robbery, and felony vehicular eluding.

CSPD chased the men for more than five miles after they received a call just at 9:15 AM reporting a suspicious vehicle in the Radio Shack parking lot off South Academy Blvd. It was later determined that the suspects were preparing for an armed robbery. When officers arrived to investigate, the men fired shots at police and sped off.

Bullets struck one cruiser and a civillian vehicle; the men continued to flee, bombing through parking lots and shortcuts, stopping only to open fire at the intersection of Astrozon and Jetwing and again near the Lowe's parking lot off Constitution.

Throughout the chase both the suspects and police exchanged fire until an unmarked cruiser rammed the suspect vehicle off the road, rolling it through a chain link fence and into a residential backyard. Officers arrested two men when the car came to a halt; the third fled on foot but was brought to justice within minutes. Nobody was injured.
