The Pueblo Sheriff's Office released the name of a man shot overnight inside a Pueblo West home. Investigators say Chris Rasberry was found sleeping on the couch of the home around midnight. The homeowners called 911. During the time a deputy was on the way to the scene, dispatchers learned the man had been shot.
Detectives say Chris Rasberry is 32 years old and a resident of Colorado Springs. He suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg.
Pueblo County Sheriff's spokesperson Laurie Kilpatrick told News First the man was shot with a .40 caliber handgun that belonged to a family member.
Rasberry was taken to a Pueblo hospital and then moved to Denver for treatment. Investigators do say the wound was non-life threatening.
The incident happened on West Glenrose Drive in Pueblo West. No charges have been filed in the case, but the investigation is continuing.
