UPDATE: Man, not teen, falls 200 feet to death in N. Cheyenne Canyon

A man fell more than 200 feet to his death in North Cheyenne Canyon Saturday, according to Colorado Springs police.

A group of mountain climbers were descending a trail near Mount Cutler at around 6:30 Saturday evening when they spotted a male body lying near the edge of the path, police said.  The hikers called police, who responded along with deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

A desk sergeant with the Colorado Springs Police Department's Gold Hill Division initially told inquiring media that the body was that of a 13-year-old boy, however further investigation at the scene revealed the victim was in his 20s.  The victim's identity has not yet been released.

Police say the man's death does not appear to be the result of foul play, however the investigation continues.
