A tiny train derailed in Jefferson County Wednesday morning, injuring more than a dozen people.

It happened in Tiny Town, a kid-sized village complete with a tiny railroad, west of Denver. Dan Hatlestad of the Intercanyon Fire Department says the engine of the small, open-car train tipped over first, and all five cars followed.

Nineteen people - from children to grandparents - were treated at the scene, and 15 of them ended up being taken to hospitals. Hatlestad says most of the injuries are bumps and bruises.

Swedish Hospital spokeswoman Deborah Gosling says nine of the 12 people taken there have been released and three - two adults, one child - are in serious condition.
