Colorado State Patrol is asking for the public's help to identify the driver of a crash that left one person dead Sunday morning.
It all started just before 3am on Highway 115 near mile marker 38.
CSP says a car was going southbound when the driver lost control of the car, which then went off the road, down an embankment and overturned.
Three people in the car got out and tried to flag down anyone passing.
Troopers say at least two people stopped but one of the people from the crash became "combative" and the people who stopped left.
Later, a driver going south struck one of the people who was in the car accident, 33-year-old Ian Saj, who was standing on the northbound shoulder. The driver did not stop and continued traveling on Highway 115.
CSP tells us Saj was thrown down the embankment and later pronounced dead.
According to CSP, the vehicle is believed to be an unknown color Dodge or Chrysler sedan, with damage to its front end, likely on the driver's side, and possibly a damaged windshield.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Colorado State Patrol at 719-544-2424
