UPDATE: bus accident injures were minor

A Colorado Springs Christian School bus was involved in an accident with another car late Wednesday afternoon in Woodland Park. The crash happened near the intersection of Aspen Garden Way and US Highway 24.

The Woodland Police Department reports that thirteen students and the driver were on board. None of the students were injured, but the driver reported some neck pain and was taken to the hospital.

Colorado Springs Christian Schools transportation director Greg Maxwell says the driver was coherent the entire time and was hospitalized as a precaution.

The Woodland Park Police Department reports that two people in the car were injured. However, they were treated and released at the scene.
