A fire near the New Mexico/Colorado border has burned more than 24,000 acres.

The latest update from fire bosses came this morning as crews work to contain the massive blaze. The fire has destroyed seven structures. Firefighters say all of the structures were either outbuildings or hunting cabins.

Another 300 structures, both residential and commercial, are threatened in northern New Mexico.

Firefighters say the fire has jumped I-25, from west to east. I-25 remains closed from mile marker 11 in Colorado, past Raton, New Mexico.

300 firefighters are working the front lines. As of yesterday, there was no containment.
