UPDATE: Baby left in car hospitalized

A nine month old baby is expected to recover after it was left in a car for about forty minutes.
Family members called 9-1-1 around 1:30 p.m. Thursday to a parking lot outside a string of restaurants at Broadmoor Towne Center in the Southgate area of Colorado Springs.
The child did show signs of illness from heat and was treated on scene and taken to a hospital. He is expected to survive.
Police are trying to figure out how the child was left in a car for that period of time and if any charges will be filed.
