More information on bus crash

A bus full of people, finishing up a rafting trip, flipped over just west of Parkdale on U.S. Highway 50. 38 people were on the bus when it flipped, seven people had to be transported for injuries. State Patrol says none of the injuries were critical.

When it happened the bus was taking rafters away from the Arkansas River. Andrew Maddox, a river ranger supervisor for Colorado State Parks says the bus rolled once, on to it's side, when it slightly off the edge of the exit road.

The bus belonged to a rafting company called Vessels for Honor, from Texas Creek. NF5 called but no word from them Thursday night.

Crews are just happy this incident didn't turn into anything worse.

"Everybody was in pretty good spirits; there were a few people a little shook up, but everybody was doing well," says Maddox.

Right now crews think the bus tipped over when it came slightly off the edge of the river's exit road, but they're still investigating what caused the accident.
