Colorado Springs police say three bodies were found inside a home on Essex Lane Monday afternoon. That's near Academy and Constitution in the Wasson neighborhood.

Investigators say a man came home around 3:30 p.m. to find his wife dead. Officers found her two teenage children dead, in different rooms of the home after they were called to the scene. No other information about them or the mother has been released.

All three deaths are being treated as suspected homicides.

Police are interviewing the father and he is cooperating.

Neighbors tell News First 5 a scene like this is the last they expected to see.

"It's difficult to see something like this so close to your house," remarks John Hawk who has lived on Essex Lane since 1976.

Neighbors say they've seen minor crimes occasionally, but nothing of this magnitude.

"Anything like this is pretty hard-hitting close to home," says Ken Craft.

If anyone has information, they are encouraged to contact Colorado Springs Police at (719) 444-7000.
