University of Colorado OKs deviant behavior class

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - The University of Colorado has cleared professor Patti Adler to teach her course deviant behavior, but Adler says she is not sure she wants to return.

CU spokesman Bronson Hilliard says a five-person executive committee in the sociology department gave Adler the go-ahead on Thursday to resume teaching the class.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, university officials became concerned after some students complained they were videotaped during a skit that portrayed prostitutes and described their lifestyles for the class.

CU Provost Russell Moore sent an email to students, faculty and staff saying Adler was being suspended from teaching the class because of the complaints. Adler says she is still concerned about censorship and may retire instead.
