Energy and jobs are on the agenda for Colorado's Democratic senators over the next few days.
Sen. Mark Udall planned to visit an electricity plant in Granby on Saturday that uses pellet fuel for energy. Udall also plans to sit down with Granby businesses for a talk about the economy.
Clean-energy jobs is the topic for Sen. Michael Bennet on Monday. The senator is headed to Carver Brewing Company, a Durango business that has reduced its energy needs. Bennet is also planning to promote a bill he's co-sponsoring that would provide low-interest loans to rural businesses that want to improve their energy efficiency.
The loans could be used for improvements such as new roofs or boilers.
The Senate returns to work on April 12.
