UCCS imposes fire restrictions

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs has imposed fire restrictions on campus after a fire yesterday afternoon.
A grass fire was reported at about 3:48 p.m. near the campus recreation center. The fire was in heavy mulch in the median. It then spread to a power pole.
There were no evacuations.
The fire is believed to have been caused by humans.
The fire department asks that everyone be very careful because of the extreme dry weather and windy conditions.
