Not once, but twice, a man impersonating a cop tries to pull people over in Pueblo.

It happened on December 1.

Police say all the man did was flash his headlights to mimic when a cop's headlights flash, but other times this has happened, people buy blue flashing lights to trick drivers.

So what should you do in this situation?

If you have a cell phone, call 911.

"All of our officers will get on the radio and notify dispatch if they're stopping a vehicle, so the dispatch will know if that's in fact an officer doing it," said Sgt. Eric Gonzales, Pueblo Police Public Information Officer.

If you don't have a cell phone try to drive to the police station, a fire station, or a convenience store which would have a surveillance camera.

These two specific incidents this past weekend happened on Northern and Santa Fe Avenue.
