Two mental health patients hospitalized after morning incident

The Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo reports an incident between two patients this morning. The two patients were transported to Parkview Hospital. Parkview Hospital cannot confirm the patients are there, nor their condition.
Inside sources say the incident involved an attack on a female patient by a male patient around 6 a.m.
A news release from Bill May, Hospital Superintendent, said, "Our top priority is the safety of our patients and staff. The incident will be thoroughly investigated and procedures reviewed to determine whether changes need to be made to ensure the safety of all residents."
