Two arrested on First Degree Murder charges

Two people have been arrested on First Degree Murder charges in the death of a man from over the weekend.

55 year old Robert Miles was shot at a home on North Ellicott Highway Saturday. He died at a local hospital.

Today the coroner ruled the death a homicide the cause of death a gunshot wound. Initially, it looked like this could be a case of burglary gone bad.

48 year old Mark Manyik and 47 year old Traci Adams were at the residence when the shooting happened and have both been arrested.

Adams is the ex-girlfriend of Miles, and had been living with Manyik at the time of the incident.

In addition to the murder charges, they both face Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder, Aggravated Robbery, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Both are being held at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center without bond.
