Two men are charged after at least one shot was fired at police.
According to police, they were originally called out to a reported burglary at 815 N. Nevada Ave. at 6:20 p.m. The caller noticed two people looking through the back windows with a flashlight.
Officers caught up with the two suspects during a traffic stop. One was immediately detained, but the second started running. During that chase, officers say the suspect fired at least one shot in the area of St. Vrain and N. Weber St.
William Dandrea was arrested for Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer as well as an outstanding warrant for a parole violation.
Ryan Medlock was arrested on an unrelated arrest warrant.
As police investigated the original reported burglary, they determined both suspects had permission to be at the home, so no burglary charges will be filed.
