A Tuskegee Airmen Congressional Medal, missing since May, was found overnight in Colorado Springs.
Police say an employee of the Crossland Economy Studios found it in a lost and found bin. The medal was reported missing on May 31st following a home burglary.
The recipient of the medal, 87 year-old 2nd Lieutenant Franklin Macon, was given a replacement last month. The Tuskegee Airmen Congressional medal is the higest honor bestowed upon military members, along with the Medal of Honor.
It was given to 944 Tuskegee Airmen by an act of Congress in 2006 and presented by President Bush.
