Turn your old shoes into basketball courts

You can now recycle those worn out old athletic shoes so they can be given new life.
Now through June, all brands and sizes of athletic shoes will be accepted. They'll be turned into playgrounds, running tracks, football fields and basketball courts. Dress shoes, flip flops, cleats are not accepted. The program is sponsored by NikeTM.

- Pueblo City-County Health Department Building entrance foyer, 101 W. 9th Street
- Buell Children's Museum, "Recycled Fairy Tales" exhibit, Sangre De Cristo Arts Center, 210 N. Santa Fe Avenue
- Colorado State Fairgrounds-Events Center lobby, 1001 Beulah Avenue; during the month of March for all high school and college basketball tournaments
- Colorado State University-Pueblo, Massari Arena, top floor lobby, 2200 Bonforte Boulevard
- Pueblo School for Arts and Sciences, main entrance lobby, 1745 Acero Avenue
