Tulowitzki will visit Pueblo January 25

Colorado Rockies' all-star Troy Tulowitzki will be the featured guest at the inaugural ‘Community Baseball Celebration' at the Pueblo Convention Center on Monday, Jan. 25. The event is sponsored by the Community Family Baseball Network, CSU-Pueblo Baseball and Softball, and Co-Create.

The event will include a VIP/Sponsor meet-and-greet and photo session at 4 p.m., an autograph session at 5:15 p.m. (autograph recipients to be chosen by lottery), dinner followed by comments from Tulowitzki at 6 p.m., and a live and silent auction of rare and collectible baseball memorabilia at 8 p.m. The event will also feature door prizes, which will include Colorado Rockies tickets and autographed baseballs and other signed Rockies' items. Colorado Rockies' third base coach, Rich Dauer, will also make an appearance at the event.

The event is designed to raise funds for baseball programs in the Pueblo area, including CSU-Pueblo baseball and softball, baseball programs from all six Pueblo high schools, as well as numerous local youth baseball clubs.

"We believe this event will greatly benefit youth baseball in the Pueblo area," CFB Network founder Salvador Acuna said. "Pueblo is a baseball town and more than that, it's a ‘Rockies' town, and this event will help solidify the bond between the baseball community of Pueblo and the Colorado Rockies' organization."

The cost to attend the event is $50 per person. Corporate/group rates are also available and will include admission to the VIP mixer with Tulowitzki before the event. To purchase tickets, or to purchase an "autograph lottery" ticket for Tulowitzki's pre-banquet autograph session, contact ticket coordinators Regina Velasquez at (719) 406-7065 or Linda Sanchez at (719) 406-5594. Tickets can also be purchased at the offices of the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce, 302 N. Santa Fe in Pueblo, and the Latino Chamber of Commerce, 215 So. Victoria in Pueblo.

For more information on the event, contact Acuna at (719) 406-3037 or CSU-Pueblo baseball coach, Stan Sanchez, at (719) 924-2375.
