DENVER (AP) - Authorities have arrested a man suspected of intentionally running over and killing a man with a pickup truck in Adams County.
39-year-old Roberto Carlos Silva-Jaques was arrested late Friday for investigation of first-degree murder. Sheriff's Sgt. Paul Gregory says Silva-Jaques struck the victim, who was standing or walking "near or on the sidewalk," at about 2:30 a.m. Friday. The victim, whose name has not been released, died at a hospital about a half hour later.
Gregory released few details about the case, citing an ongoing investigation.
Silva-Jaques has an extensive record for mostly minor criminal traffic violations dating back to 2005.
