Mandatory inspections of all commercial vehicles on I-25 are taking place in Pueblo.

Through Thursday all commercial traffic must take exit 96 to be weighed and inspected.

This includes measurements and a look under the hood.

It's a multi-agency inspection, and they say it's important to do inspections like this several times a year.

"What we look at is the transition between commercial motor vehicles from point A to point B, and try to capture those vehicles that may not always pass through a fixed facility," said Sgt. Todd James, Colorado State Patrol.

Those with the State Patrol say you shouldn't expect delays on I-25.

They do want you to be cautious of the increased amount of trucks entering and exiting in this area.
